The Little Black Dress Event
The "Little Black Dress Event", held Thursday night at Up on Carling,
was a fundraiser for Wellspring Cancer Support Centres. It was
interesting to see the many different interpretations of "the little black dress",
and to chat with some of the women there, some of whom were cancer survivors.
For the two women in the photo above, it was an opportunity for a meaningful
moment between former patient and caregiver.
I've always been a fan of the Sheath dress, and I thought
this woman with her chic cropped hair looked great in hers.
This Mom and her two gorgeous daughters showed that a little black dress
can be worn at any age, and I think each of them chose a style that was flattering
and appropriate.
These two friends show that once again, style has nothing to do
with age. The jacket on the woman on the left, which she got in Stratford,
was one of my favourite pieces I saw on anyone that night.
