Mix Master

This coat has had many lives, and previously belonged to Melinda, of The Sentimentalist.  Nothing like a bright red plaid to ward off the winter blahs.

I would have hesitated to mix patterns like this years ago out of fear that other people would think it was weird.  Now, as the fabulous Helga would say, "feck it".

Plaid coat - The Sentimentalist
checked wool skirt - Mesh Consignment Boutique
Belt - Frilly Lizard
Striped tights - Winners
Pink Felt neck piece - Lady Mosquito (Toronto)

And, as an extra bonus.....

 Gratuitous Rat photo!

Hope you're all having a reasonable week

  2. That is a great coat. Warm I bet too. My daughter once had a coat like that. I asked her one day why the pockets were bulging..and she proceeded to pull out everything but the kitchen sink (wet bathing suit included)! I hope you didn't put your little friend in the pocket. ;)

  15. Shelley, I love the necklace and the coat, and I just bought tits very similar to yours, which are thick and comfy in addition to being funky. I don't often pattern mix but I like the way you've done it!

    1. I had a big laugh when I read this, I am assuming you meant "tights", not "tits", as I wouldn't describe mine as thick, comfy and funky ;)
