Style is in the Details

We had a reception after work the other day for two of our faculty who were retiring.  This man was a guest, and after admiring his shirt from across the room,  I nabbed him for a photo.  He got it in Montreal, and the double-buttons and super-fab print inside the collar and on the cuffs turned a classic white shirt into something special.  A piece of clothing can have a very simple, classic cut, but add some standout details like this, and you've gone from "nice shirt" to "Wow!!"

Such a cool pattern!

  1. Jon would kill for that shirt, those quirky cuffs just err on the right side of flamboyancy! Love his smile. x

  2. You have the best eye to spot this beautiful detail and put it out there for all of us to enjoy. Details are so important, in style and in other areas of life as well. Looks like he enjoyed the photo shoot as much as I enjoy the results of your skills.

  3. I'm so amazed at this post because Joey and I were just talking about putting some thrifted madras plaid on the inside of his cuffs and collar!! This the perfect example of what we were envisioning. Now I know we're doing it!!!!!
