Macrame - Everything Old is New Again

The woman in the photo above is part of the husband and wife team who operate Mundial Treasures (I hope I spelled that right, they didn't have a business card), a recent addition to the Metropolitan Artisans' Market.  They sell jewellery and leather goods made by friends and artists they've met in their travels.  The small leather bags in the foreground are made in Argentina, and much of the work they sell incorporates Macrame (remember those plant hangers from the 70's?  If not, or you weren't born yet, refresh your memory here ), but in a very funky, updated way.  Just look at the detail on the bags:
