The "Anti Fashion" Fashion Show

On Friday, March 4th, the Sexual Assault Centre London, in partnership with Amazon Collective, presents an "Anti Fashion Show" at APK Live (located at 340 Wellington Street at York) from 6 pm - 8:30 pm.   The show will feature "locally made, handmade, remade, recycled, sweatshop free, fairly traded designers".  Tickets are $12, or $10 with a piece of used clothing to be donated to the Women's Community House new second hand store.  You can get your ticket early by contacting Sarah Scanlon at the Sexual Assault Centre at sarah@sacl.ca, or by telephone: (519) 439-0844 ex.26.   I will be there, in hopes of finding some super stylish eco-friendly fashionistas to photograph.

On Saturday, March 5th, the same groups are hosting an Eco Feminist Vendor Fair at Brescia University College, in the St. James Auditorium from 10 am - 2 pm.  This event will feature eco-feminist clothing and accessories for sale, a farmer's market, and a silent auction.   Admission is by Pay What You Can, or by donation of a piece of used clothing for the Women's Community House second hand store.
